Mexican pulp art

Cover art from Mexican pulp magazines.

Almost makes me wish I could understand Spanish!

Actually, years of experience has taught me that the stories are often nowhere near as good as the illustrations.

  1. I glanced through a Mexican comic book at my local library once, and it was pretty funny because it was so macho and blatant about its intentions. It was a western and there was this Indian who beat up a white cowboy and then had his way with this beautiful woman, who maybe belonged to the humiliated gringo. Then, after he had had his way with her, he kicked her in the rear end because he was tired of her.
